ANNOUNCMENTS
STEWARDSHIP MOMENT
PREPARE OURSELVES TO WORSHIP
CALL US TOGETHER
LEADER:
In truth and love, God has called us into this house of
worship.
God has said to us,
PEOPLE: “You are my people, I am
your God.”
LEADER: Not once, but again and again the Word is spoken, and
there
is rejoicing over all the earth. The words ring out
with
a glad cry:
PEOPLE: “You are my people, I am
your God. You are my
people, close to my heart.”
LEADER: When we merge our lives together, God is present.
PEOPLE: “You are my people, I am
your God. You are my
people, close to my heart.”
LEADER: Come, O people of God;
let us be glad as we sing God’s
praises;
for our Creator and Redeemer has said;
PEOPLE: “You are my people, I am
your God. You are my
people, close
to my heart.”
LEADER: With awe and wonder, in the spirit of grace we lift our
voices
unto the God of creation, who redeems us and
keeps
us by the power of grace which comes from the
God we worship this day.

WALK TO DEFEAT ALS
As many of you know, our
dear friend Mike Ginther lost his battle with ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease on
August 4th. Mike's challenges forever changed many of our lives, and brought an
appreciation of the great joy of faith, family and friends. His courage
and the courage of his family brought a sense of awe and inspiration to many of
us, and changed us for the better. He left a most special mark on all of
us, and a determination to fight more than ever to beat this disease!!!!
We will be participating
again in the Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday, October 9 in Corporate
Woods. This is a terrific opportunity to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's
Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find
treatments and a cure. Mike was determined to help beat this disease, and we
are carrying on the fight!
Our walk team is called "Mike's
Goofy Friends". If you are able to donate to our team, we will be
able to make a difference in the lives of many others affected by this disease.
We walk because we can!
You can check out my walk
page at: http://web.alsa.org/goto/marthak
There you can read more
about our efforts and donate online if you would like. Checks are also
appreciated, anything is wonderful!!!!!!
Regardless of a donation or not, please keep those suffering from
this horrid disease in your prayers.
Thank you so much for
your time and caring!!!!
God Bless You,
Martha Koslowsky
