those we know and love – neighbors and friends,

brothers and sisters – a communion of kindred hearts.

PEOPLE: People of God, look about and see the faces of those

we hardly know – strangers, sojourners, forgotten

friends, the ones who need an outstretched hand.

LEADER:  People of God, look about and see all the images of

God assembled here today. In me, in you, in each of us

2nd Annual Foursomes for the Future Golf Tournament

The rain has delayed our tournament but it hasn’t dampened our spirit! The tournament will now be played on Saturday, 9/11/10 at Paradise Pointe Golf Club. Everything will be as previously planned. Shotgun start at 8:00 am with tons of prizes and lunch to follow. Don’t forget to bring your yellow tickets you received when buying your mulligan’s for the prize drawings. If you didn’t sign up to play before because of prior commitments that is not a problem give Ken Birlingmair a call at 816-532-8830 and we can still get you on the course! We’re also looking for volunteers to help out. If you have any questions, give Ken a call. Hope to see you there!

Do your legs ache after walking a short distance? If so, you may want to consider being screened for peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a condition in which the arteries that carry blood to the arms or legs become narrowed or clogged by plaque, slowing or stopping the flow of blood. Get screened on September 15th when Life Line Screening comes to SUMC and offers this and other important health tests. Call 1-888-653-6441, or visit www.lifelinescreening.com, for more information and to pre-register.
