Welcome! We are called to be Spirited people, powerful as the wind in doing God’s will, energetic as fire in extending the love of Christ. We are called to worship God together. We pray that the singing, the prayers, the hearing and the study of God’s word, and the fellowship with God and with one another, will be blessings. Welcome!

We gather this morning to sing and pray and study scripture and respond by allowing God’s Spirit to shape our lives. Oh God, guide our worship to be authentic, alive, and creative, so we may experience your life-changing presence in ourselves and in others. Help us encounter a fresh vision of your love that transform lives, heals wounded souls, renews hope, shapes decisions, provokes change, inspires compassion, and binds people to one another. Oh God, we come to worship you this morning. Amen.

Gracious and Holy God, we come to you because you have first come to us. We know you because you have revealed yourself to us through Christ. Through our worship, give us a new sense of your Spirit breathing through us. Through our worship, lift our hearts with the wings of song, heal our souls with the balm of prayer, and feed our minds with the food of scripture. Through our worship, enliven our strength, our substance, and our service to your work in your world. Help our faith grow with child-like joy, filled with fresh and passionate visions and dreams. Open the eyes of each heart, that we may see your extraordinary presence among us in our ordinary worship each week. Amen.
