Celebrating Life Through Divine Worship
7th Sunday after Epiphany
10:00 am, February 20, 2011
The time of centering: Holy God, in this season that commemorates the life and ministry of Jesus, remind us that His ministry is always and ever actively reaching out toward us. And in this hour of worship, help us to be open to the challenges of his words, the power of his healing, and the opportunity to labor alongside him as both Savior and friend. Amen.
PRELUDE
ENTRANCE OF THE LIGHT
INVOCATION
Eternal God, whose wisdom defies our limited insights, and whose commandments are from everlasting to everlasting, open our hearts and souls and minds to your love that surrounds us and seeks a dwelling place in us, that we may regard ourselves as your valuable children and accord the same care and concern to others as we would, at our best, lavish on ourselves. May our lives honor you and display the power of your love to the world. Amen.

CALL US TOGETHER
LEADER: Gather together to hear stories of faith and courage.
Listen for the ways God has acted among us.
PEOPLE: Our ancestors in the faith listened for God's word.
They dared to believe God's promises.
LEADER: Leaders like Moses and Paul saw evidence of God's work.
They believed they were face-to face with God's truth.
PEOPLE: They looked beyond the present moment.
They lived for dreams not yet realized.
LEADER: Many felt God's love in knowing Jesus.
They experienced a new relationship with neighbors.
PEOPLE: We have come seeking community centered in Christ.
We want to feel God's presence as we worship.
